The Welsh Graduate Programmes are unique, talent creation initiatives led by the Welsh Contact Centre Forum and delivered in close partnership with leading employers and academia.

Building a leading graduate development experience is a priority for us and our Programme is becoming a magnet for the highest calibre graduates. Our vision is to create a graduate talent pool of data science and financial services professionals in the region.

We have developed a unique, rotational graduate programme that helps graduates develop into fully rounded professionals, who grow their careers and deliver value and return to programme employers.

We are looking for a talented Graduate Career Coach who will play a key role in ensuring the successful progress, performance, motivation and career development of graduates – from both a work and academic perspective which ultimately helps to deliver programme outcomes.

The Career Coach will work closely with graduates, employers and university partners and other key stakeholders, and will be responsible for:

– Helping to attract high calibre graduates to the Programme through the building of effective relationships with universities to help promote as a programme of choice for under-graduates.

– Supporting attraction and recruitment activities and ensuring a successful onboarding experience to the programme and host employer.

– Understanding graduate aspirations, interest and development areas to support and maximise graduate performance, progress and motivation throughout the programme and to ensure achievement of programme outputs.

– Assessing graduate strengths and interests and find best fit for employer placements as part of the graduate rotation process.

– Help graduates to present their best self to make their mark and secure permanent employment.

– Work closely with academic and other key partners to support graduates in applying their academic learning and research back in to the workplace, adding value to host employers.

– Maximise resources and opportunities available to support graduates and employers and research/implement best practice wherever possible.

Implement robust / innovative communication methods across stakeholders and implement effective performance tracking processes.

– Develop a graduate and employer alumni and ensuring ongoing communications.

Knowledge, Education and Experience

– Degree or professional qualification

– Significant experience in coaching/career development related roles within commercial environments.

– Credible and professional, with high level of business acumen.

– Excellent communicator and relationship builder, with ability to communicate across all levels.

– Familiarity with project methods (e.g. PRINCE II) and procedures and skilled at project planning and reporting.

– A structured and logical approach and the ability to think and plan ahead.

– Empathetic and pragmatic in the face of problems or difficult situations

– Self-starter, capable to work both independently and in a team.

– Passionate, hard-working and proud to help graduate success and results.

– Resilient in the face of pressure with a strong ability to meet deadlines

– Pleasure to work with, will roll up sleeves, find a way to get the job done and have fun doing it.

– Strong ambassador for the Graduate Programmes

It would also be useful to speak and/or write in Welsh.
