Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced conveyancer to join a dynamic, expanding legal practice. The business is very much people focused and is looking for an individual who wants to make a difference.

The successful applicant will be working for Stephens Wilmot Solicitors whilst enjoying the benefits offered to all staff of the We

As an experienced conveyancing professional, you will be expected to deal with residential property transactions whilst maintaining a high standard of work and providing high levels of service to clients.

What you’ll be doing:

Managing your own conveyancing caseload from inception to completion whilst working alongside other experienced members of staff supported by more junior paralegals

Assisting the growth and management of a residential conveyancing team
Supervising and mentoring less experienced staff as they join a growing team

Working closely with the directors in the development of new business initiatives and ideas
Developing your skills and knowledge in line with business growth

Keeping up to date on conveyancing developments

Attending upon clients, both in person and over the telephone, providing support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards for client care
Organising and managing the preparation of correspondence and documents through the case management system

What you’ll need:

Essential –

– A minimum of 4 years’ experience in conveyancing

– Confidence in handling a mixed caseload of residential sales, purchases and remortgages and transfer of equity cases both freehold and leasehold

– You will be a licensed conveyancer, legal executive, solicitor or experienced conveyancer and able to run with transactions from start to finish with minimal supervision

– Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

– IT literacy – Word, Excel and case management software

– Ability to work on own initiative effectively

– Personal qualities of enthusiasm, commitment and willingness

– Confidentiality and discretion

Our offices are based in Cwmbran, South Wales – easily accessible from all major transport routes. On-site parking.
