We are looking for people with the desire and passion to build a career in Software Development. You will be trained to work on the Unisys Agile Business Suite development platform working on our exciting new technology transformation project. You will be delivering changes to our transactional administration system, to enable it to integrate with new web and mobile applications.
This role will need you to build good working relationships with colleagues, demonstrate strong customer focus and good communication skills. Joining a team comprising 30 IT professionals delivering change using Scrum, after completion of training you will work closely with other developers, testers, architects and business change professionals.
What you will do:
Working in one of our Scrum teams, you will be responsible for:
– Becoming competent in the use of Unisys Agile Business Suite.
– Completing work to ensure team deliverables are on time and fit for purpose.
– Taking personal responsibility and ownership for completion of business outcomes.
– Providing development support to colleagues and third parties to deliver on Society objectives to timescales.
– Ensuring that code meets quality expectations.
– Actively seeking out opportunities to improve our systems or how we use technical solutions to improve organisational performance, e.g. language, tool, processes.
– Being proactive, collaborative and contribute positively to team working and ceremonies.
– Providing production support as required.
What we are looking for:
We are keen to speak to individuals that have a demonstrable interest in software development. You should have a passion for learning new skills with the capability to become competent in the use of Unisys Agile Business Suite. Recent graduates or developers looking for the opportunity to broaden their experience with new development tooling would be ideal candidates for the vacancy. An understanding of software development processes and knowledge of Agile/Scrum would be advantageous for the role.
