The job:

Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, the Company Secretarial Assistant will provide an effective day to day secretariat service to the business ensuring compliance, consistency and best practice is adopted at all times.

As part of the Secretariat you will help ensure that the Society and its subsidiary companies comply and operate in accordance with all statutory, legal and governance requirements. You will help to monitor the effectiveness and appropriateness of the Society’s corporate governance framework.

What you’ll do:

– Support the electronic distribution of Board papers

– Prepare meeting agendas

– Attend committee meetings, draft minutes and follow through action points

– Support the delivery of ad-hoc corporate governance projects to plan and to time

– Support the team responsible for the Society’s annual general meeting.

What we are looking for:

The successful individual will need to be able to maintain and develop positive professional working relationships at all levels within the Society.

Working collaboratively is essential as the role holder will liaise with a number of teams from across the Society.

Experience in an administrative role would be advantageous, as would knowledge of a financial services and regulated environment.
